Our School Day
Our academy day is 8.45am – 3:15pm
Start of Day Procedures:
Our academy day starts at 8.45am. Please ensure that your children arrive on time as sessions begin promptly with registration officially closing at 9am. Children who arrive after this time must register at the school office and will have an unauthorised late mark recorded against their name. Lateness is not accepted as it can lead to large amounts of learning lost and cause disruption to the class. Regular lateness can result in a fixed penalty fine per child per parent or fast track prosecution. Reasons such as: traffic, up late, alarm didn’t go off, etc. are not acceptable excuses to not be in school on time.
Children can arrive at school from 8.35am and enter through the main school gate, where they will be supervised by academy staff in their classroom. We encourage all children to bring their own bags, bottles and personal belongings into school to help them develop independence.
Early Years children (Robins Class) will need to be dropped off at their classroom between 8.35am and 8.45am.
There is a before school Wide Awake club run daily either outside or in the school hall (weather permitting) from 8.00am to 8.35am. This costs £2 per session (£1 per session for siblings). Please contact the office for more information.
End of Day Procedures:
Our school day ends at 3.15pm. Children will need to be collected from the specific point allocated to their class. If you have several children to collect, please start with the youngest and the older children will remain supervised at their collection point until you arrive.
If a child is being collected by someone who is not listed on their contact information sheet, for example, when going round to a friend’s house for tea, please notify the academy office. Please also inform the office if you are unavoidably running late and they will let your child know to avoid anxiety.
